The interiors have exposed brick and timber details and some units have air-conditioning or terraces.

The Marshall Wells was originally a warehouse built in 1910. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, and then converted to 164 residential lofts in 2001.

Riverfront condominiums, converted from apartments in 2002. Many association features including a gym and a pool with maintained riverfront walking path.

McKenzie

The McKenzie Lofts may look like an old warehouse, but the building was actually constructed as new residential lofts in 1998. It is 6 stories with 68 homes and 9 commercial spaces. All the homes have balconies or terraces, air-conditioning, 10 foot or higher ceilings and large walls of windows.

Metropolitan

The Metropolitan is one of Portland’s most recent, very upscale, luxury condominium properties.

Park Place
* Pearl District

Adjacent to Jamison Park (and over one of my favorite restaurants, Fenoil) is Park Place. There are 36 different floor plans! There is concierge service and other community activities. The signature architectural feature of this building is the east facing column that protrudes all the way up the tower and offers unique perspectives on the city.

Pinnacle
* Pearl District

The Pinnacle is a very sleek and modern building on the Streetcar line and across from two parks in the North Pearl district. Units here have views of the Willamette River and the city skyline.

Riverscape

One of the earlier new buildings to be built in The Pearl, the Riverstone is a block-size condominium built in concrete and brick with a private courtyard interior. The original finishes were described at “Refined industrial” materials, featuring natural woodwork, ceramic counter-tops, industrial lighting, Pella windows and wood mantelpieces.

Streetcar

Hip and high tech, the Streetcar Lofts came to market originally in 2003 with the intent to be the state of the art in cool, youthful, urban design.
